Welcome! I’m Noah Myers, Assistant Professor of Accounting at Utah Valley University
I help tomorrow’s accountants become fluent in the technologies and analytical mind-sets that now define our profession. In the classroom—and often on conference stages—I guide students and practitioners through:
- Accounting Information Systems & internal controls
- Data Analytics and Visualization for audit and decision support
- Applied AI & Automation (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Python, SQL)
- Audit Methodology and Emerging Assurance Tools
My courses blend real-world datasets, live demonstrations, and hands-on labs so participants leave with skills they can use the very next day. Recent talks include how generative AI reshapes audit evidence, workflow automation for finance teams, and lessons from high-profile frauds such as FTX.
Before entering academia I audited complex IT environments at Ernst & Young and implemented accounting software for mid-market clients at Squire & Company—experience I still draw on to keep each lesson practical and engaging.
